I’ve finally crossed an item off my bucket list: Get a massage. And, my goodness, it was WORTH IT!
I’ve had a bit of a “bad back” for most of my life, primarily due to my outrageously flat feet. That’s been heightened, of course, with having a toddler whom I have carried around for the past 16 months (and the 9 months prior, in utero)!
Quite a few of my friends have had massages, either regularly, or on occasion. Every one of my friends that have had massages before have always gushed about how amazing they are. Being a mom who works, it isn’t always easy to get the “me time” we so desire, especially when it comes to doing something time consuming. Thankfully, I’m a lucky lady who has a pretty awesome support system, and was able to get this little 60 minutes of pampering! And, let me tell you – I am officially HOOKED.
I can’t say enough good things about the team at Eastern College. I was paired up with Shawn, who told me about his experience as a baseball player, and coach (and his love of country music, a nice bonus!). He chose to get into massage therapy after dealing with a variety of aches, pains and injuries being involved in sports, and how he felt that would allow him a beneficial skills set to bring to the table.
I’ve got to say – for those of you who have been on the fence about getting a massage, or those of you who (like me) don’t feel like you have the time or priority to do it: DO IT. You won’t regret it. And did I mention it’s only $20? That’s right! You better believe I’ll be going back!
