You can cheat a little on this one. Pick up your favorite round loaf from your go-to bakery. Unless you want to go the extra
kilometer (We’re in Canada) and bake your own. I like using a sourdough. Once your bread is ready and cooled cut approx 1 inch strips and then cut 1 inch strips in the opposite direction. Don’t cut all the way through the bottom. Leave a small portion attached.
In a medium saucepan melt 1/2 cup of butter then add 1 cup of Brown Sugar or Demerara Sugar. Add 1 cinnamon stick and 1/2 tsp of ground cinnamon. Whisk slowly while simmering until smooth
Heat Oven to 350.
On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, place your cut loaf and drizzle with caramel sauce. Bake for about 5 minutes.
