Song For The Humbolt Broncos & Our Hot Country 1035 Tribute

Jay Smith from Kingston, Ontario has written a song about Sticks Out For Humbolt.

He couldn’t sleep — his mind was haunted by the story of the Humbolt Broncos Junior A hockey team, so Smith picked up his guitar and wrote a song in tribute to the Broncos.

With the hashtag “Sticks Out For Humbolt” with Canadians leaving their sticks on front porches across the country, Hockey Night in Canada kicked the playoffs Wednesday night with Jay’s song:

I was a bit misty after watching the opening.

Here’s our Hot Country 1035 Broncos Tribute produced by our very own Lee Rodgers and voiced by our Hot Country station voice Rachel McGrath.

Included is my Public Address Announcer audio from the Moment of Silence for Humbolt at last Saturday’s Halifax Mooseheads game, with the Chis Stapleton song “Broken Halos”, so powerful.

Today is jersey day in support of the Humbolt Broncos, please wear yours and support the team.
