The New Year’s Eve party in Los Angeles just got a little bit larger. Florida Georgia Line is joining the West Coast lineup for Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2018. That’ll give the duo the opportunity to perform both of their current, hit pop collaborations: “Meant to Be” with Bebe Rexha and “Let Me Go,” with Hailee Steinfeld and Alesso. Kane Brown and Kelly Clarkson are also on the Hollywood portion of the annual celebration, which marks its 46th incarnation this year. Sugarland will reunite to deliver new music from New York City’s Times Square as well. The five-and-a-half hours of music and entertainment start at 8 p.m. ET Sunday, December 31 on ABC.
Kelsea Ballerini and Morgan Evans are married now, but don’t expect the Nashville couple to expand their family any time soon. “I’m 24, I’m not in a rush,” Ballerini tells PEOPLE. “It’s something we’re both stoked to do — one day down the track.” The “Legends” singer and her fellow country crooner, 32, tied the knot Dec. 2 on the beach in an intimate ceremony in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The wedding came at a particularly exciting and stressful time for the bride. The Grammy nominee spent much of 2017 on the road opening for Lady Antebellum, and in November, the star released her sophomore album, Unapologetically.
Carrie Underwood’s broken wrist doesn’t appear to be slowing her exercise routine down. The singer was photographed at the gym wearing a brace on her wrist recently, and the actress alongside her had no idea the star was even injured! Adrienne Gang — star of Season 1 of Bravo’s Below Deck — snapped a picture with Underwood and shared it on Twitter this week. “Just worked out next to @carrieunderwood,” she writes. “NBD … she is adorable and so gracious… LOVE HER!” After seeing her photo pop up on the Inquisitr, Gang tweeted that she didn’t know Underwood had been injured and that, “She looked amazing!” Taste of Country has reached out to Underwood’s team for a more formal update on her wrist and plans for 2018.
It’s been a month since Underwood shared she’d had surgery on her wrist after a Nov. 10 fall at her house. She also suffered some cuts and abrasions in the accident, which sent her to the hospital. Husband Mike Fisher rushed home to be by her side, and in the week that followed both expressed relief and gratitude for those who helped take care of her. Since then it’s been quiet on her social media platforms, aside from a picture of her son and a few promotional messages. Overall it was a quiet year for the 2018 WE Fest headliner. She moved to UMG Nashville after spending her career at Sony Music Nashville, but she didn’t release new music.
DUSTIN LYNCH’s family has a holiday tradition that goes like this. His grandmother puts together a program for them to sing at church. And if anyone’s not participating, she yells at them.
I guess one of the advantages of growing old is that you’ve earned the right to boss around the young people in your family. You can even yell at them and they’ll be okay with it.
That’s what DUSTIN LYNCH’s grandma will be doing over the holidays. She plays piano at their church and she always puts together a family program, and asks everyone sing . . . whether they want to or not.
He says, quote, “She’ll yell at us if we’re not singing and participating.”
She probably doesn’t care that he sings for a living and needs to save his voice as much as possible. So, he’s found a way to avoid her wrath. Quote, “I kind of stand in the back and let everybody take the reins.”
