The charity WhyHunger will present John Mellencamp with its ASCAP Harry Chapin Humanitarian Award at the organization’s 20th annual WhyHunger Chapin Awards, taking place June 5 at City Winery in New York. The singer will be recognized for his work helping family farmers as a co-founder of Farm Aid.
