What a Parade that was, did anybody work in Toronto yesterday?
Monday did not turning out to be a very productive day in Toronto.
As the Raptors’ championship parade made its way to city hall, millions flooded the streets to celebrate the franchise’s first NBA title, and the city’s first major sports championship since 1993 since the Jays won it all.
I watched the entire coverage from 11 am on, it was pretty cool hearing the crowd sing O Canada and “We Are The Champions” at the top of their lungs.
Some of my other favourite parts included the Snow Birds fly past, a street being named Raptors Way and the team got the key to the city!
It was a historical day in Canadian Sports history, let’s do it again next year.
LET’S GO RAPTORS!
