#HotCountrySkinny for November 14th

Holy smokes! Rumours are circulating on People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive this year?

Listen in for the #HotCountrySkinny at 8:40am and 4:40pm ……AND if it seems as it Keith Urban is getting a lot more attention than usual these days, well …..he is! His new song “Female” is the reason. It”s getting a lot of traction on social media and KELSEA BALLERINI was so inspired that she recorded an acoustic version and posted the video on Instagram.

Sounds Like Nashville” was able to put together a whole page of stars posting their props.  Taylor Swift thanked Keith for recording it.  Reese Witherspoon also thanked him and added that it’s exactly what’s needed today.

Other artists who support it include Martina McBride, Jennifer Nettles, Kelleigh Bannen, Natalie Stovall, Clare Bowen, and Stephanie Quayle.  It’s also been embraced by the #MeToo movement, although that wasn’t the intention.  Nicolle Galyon is oneof the co-writers and she tells us that it was finished right after the Harvey Weinstein scandal hit, and it was barely on their radar. They set out to address “what it’s like to be a female today.”  Timing is everything so when Keith decided to record it right away, it unintentionally became part of the same conversation.

Star sightings! Imagine going on a grocery run and seeing JASON ALDEAN and his wife Brittany pushing a cart down the produce aisle.  They posted a a little video of them doing just that . . . but mostly focused on the dryer sheet sticking out of Jason’s pant leg.

Sunday’s Country Rising benefit in Nashville raised over $4 million.  Performers included Dierks Bentley, Sam Hunt, Little Big Town, Martina McBride, Jon Pardi, Chris Stapleton,Jason Aldean, George Strait, and Keith Urban.  Funds will help the victims of the Route 91 shooting and the recent hurricanes.
