#HotCountrySkinny for January 23rd

BRAD PAISLEY is a talented fine artist.  You may remember that he drew all the animated characters in his “Crushin’ It” video.  And then there’s that painting he did of Demi Lovato’s dog.

This time he teamed up with a Nashville artist named Rob Hendon to do a graffiti-style mural on a wall inside Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.

Brad came up with the concept of a guitar being bitten apart by “Gnash” . . . which is the mascot of the Nashville Predators.  And then he did a design on his phone.

KIP MOORE’s “Last Shot” video is heavy . . . but good.  It features a group of lifelong friends who pull together when one of them is diagnosed with a terminal illness.  The ending’s pretty powerful.  It’s the latest single from Kip’s album, “Slowheart”, which came out last year.

ERIC CHURCH says “Round Here Buzz” is about a guy who wishes things were different than they are.  It’s a song that speaks to him because he knows a lot of people like that.  Quote, “I’m from a small town, and I’ve seen this.  I’ve felt it.  It’s a motive to me.”

CAM performed the Cranberries’ classic “Zombie” during a “tribute night” at a club in Nashville.  It was in honor of Cranberries singer Dolores O’Riordan, who passed away last week.

EASTON CORBIN is pretty sure he reached his “cowboy peak” as a little kid.  He posted a photo of himself as a youngster wearing boots and a cowboy hat . . . and holding a rifle.  Mostly, it was an opportunity to promote a song.  He wrote, “I don’t know if I’ll ever be ‘A Little More Country Than That.’

I don't know if I'll ever be "a little more country than that" #TBT
