DIERKS BENTLEY announced that his next album will be called “The Mountain”, and it’ll be out sometime this year. He tells NPR that he recorded most of it in Telluride, Colorado. Obviously, that influenced the title. They were curious about his plans going into the studio. Did he already have songs written? Did he have a sound or theme in mind? The answer is no. Always no.
CAM hit up Instagram with a pledge to drop her insecure moments from last year . . . and focus on being more “present and powerful” in 2018.
CAM posted a selfie on Instagram, but it wasn’t some fun “Hey, look at me” pic. She wrote some serious stuff in the caption about how the photo was taken last year before a show when she was feeling anxious and inadequate.
She sent it to a friend hoping for feedback because she thought she looked, quote, “ugly-ridiculous-stupid.” It’s a feeling that she experiences before EVERY show during what she calls her “one hour of anxiety” of trying to look perfect.
It goes on to say that she’s DONE letting the “beauty ideal” suck up her time, confidence, and ability to control her own self-worth. Obviously, none of that energy will make her music better, and it certainly won’t make her happier.
And with that, she pledged to focus on the positive in the New Year.
RASCAL FLATTS announced a few details of their “Back To Us Tour.” Although they haven’t listed the dates yet, they did reveal it’ll kick off in Hartford, Connecticut. DAN + SHAY and CARLY PEARCE will be opening the shows. Check out the cities and look for updates at RascalFlatts.com.
