It’s day 1 of a 4.5 month long road closure on Quinpool by MacDonald Street while crews prepare to fix the aging CN bridge. Vehicles will be detoured to Chebucto Road and Connaught Avenue. Expect delays and give yourself extra time.

4.5-month long construction project at Quinpool Road to start on Monday

Police are investigating after a man committed an indecent act involving a patient at the Victoria General Hospital last week. The man was spotted roaming through the hospital on March 22 & 23 wearing medical scrubs. The 49 year old man was arrested for public intoxication.


There were no injuries caused by a fire that was reported around 11:30 Saturday night in East Preston. The residence on Lower Partridge River Road is home to 5 adults who have temporarily been displaced. The fire was mostly confined to the basement, but caused smoke damage throughout the entire house.
