High school rugby players in Nova Scotia will get to finish their season. The athletic federation made the announcement yesterday. This also means that regional and provincial playoffs are a go.

2 men are facing charges after a lot of cannabis product was seized from an illegal cannabis store in Timberlea on St. Margaret’s Bay Rd. $60,000 worth of product was found including lego shaped blocks of THC which are potent enough to be a fatal dose for children. RCMP say this store made almost $1 million since the beginning of this year.

The Nova Scotia Health Authority says the recent passing of a girl in Cape Breton due to meningitis will have no risk to the public. Meningitis is an infection of the tissue around the brain and spinal cord that can cause death in rare cases. Although Nova Scotia children receive routine vaccines against meningitis, not every type of meningitis is covered by it.
Residents who live in a subdivision near the Quinpool CN bridge that’s being repaired are getting frustrated with the traffic in their neighbourhood. MacDonald Street by Flinn Park is set to get speed bumps by the crosswalks soon. Police officers have been issuing up to 20 tickets a day due to drivers blowing through stop signs by Flinn Park where many children like to play.
