A warning has been issued after a possible measles exposure at the Halifax Infirmary. Someone from Saint John who was confirmed to have a case of measles visited the QEII on April 17th. Officials are asking anyone with symptoms such as a rash, red eyes and fatigue to contact a doctor immediately.

3 people are seriously injured after 2 separate car collisions on Nova Scotia highways. Yesterday morning a 27 year old man was flown to hospital after a collision on Highway 101 near Waterville. And on Saturday night 2 New Brunswick women, ages 21 & 22, were sent to hospital after a collision on Highway 142 near Springhill. The causes of the accidents are under investigation.

A medical clinic in Lower Sackville will close its doors this week due to a shortage of doctors. The Community Care Walk-in Clinic in the Lawtons Drugs store on Cobequid Road will shut down tomorrow. Last year the clinic had over 20,000 visitors, making this closure a big loss.
WestJet has suspended several of its routes due to the ongoing grounding of Boeing’s 737 Max 8 airplanes. Canada grounded the jets last month after 2 deadly crashes, joining other countries on the initiative. Investigations show there was malfunctioning software that forced the planes nose down, giving the pilots little time to correct the error.
