Some breaking news out of California this morning… At least 13 people are dead, including an officer and the gunman, after a mass shooting inside a country and western bar called Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks, California. Hundreds of people were inside the venue at the time for College Country night when the shooting broke out around 11:30 last night.


A feud between some Membertou First Nation residents that happened on Tuesday has left a woman with injuries. Ashley and Jonathan Paul say they were both attacked by 2 men who are members of the Membertou band council. Paul blames the altercation on jealousy over fishing licences.


Halifax Regional Police horse ‘Sarge’ is retiring after 13 years of service with the force. Police Chief Jean-Michel Blais is thanking Sarge for his service and for becoming an iconic presence within our community. A retirement ceremony for Sarge and a swearing-in ceremony for his replacement will be held at a later date.
