Homicide charges have been laid after a Dartmouth man was stabbed to death while on vacation in Mexico. 70 year old Bruce Allen was found by his partner in their apartment last Friday. The suspect is a Mexican citizen but no name has been released.

A trial began yesterday in Halifax for an Ontario man accused of sexually assaulting a 15 year old girl. 47 year old Paul Coburn is facing 5 charges in connection with an incident at a Halifax hotel in February 2017. The girl is expected to take the stand today.
Prince Edward Island is waking up to a new government this morning. Islanders have elected a Tory minority government and handed the upstart Green party official Opposition status for the first time. The Tories won 12 seats, the Greens got 8 and the incumbent Liberals won 6. The NDP did not win a seat.
