Two men are dead and a woman is seriously injured after a car crash in Antigonish County on Sunday night. The car was travelling on Highway 4 when it left the road, rolled over and hit a tree. The highway was closed for several hours after the crash.

A fire outside an apartment building in Halifax shut down traffic in both directions last night. The fire broke out around 9:30 near North & Agricola Streets. No word on the cause yet and there were no injuries reported.

A new schedule for Northumberland Ferries starts today that will run until October 8th. As the busiest tourist time of the year comes to an end, the service is cutting 2 departure times from P.E.I. and 2 from N.S. On October 9th the ferry service is set to go down to 5 daily departures.
