Police are notifying the public about a high risk sex offender recently released from prison. 49 year old Donald Bartlett is moving to the Halifax area after completing his sentence on child pornography charges. Bartlett is banned from places where children under the age of 16 are present.


Members of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers have agreed to return to work at 7AM today. This follows an agreement to meet this weekend to resume negotiations with the delivery company operating in parts of the Maritimes. Workers had established a picket line at Canada Post in Sydney but it ended yesterday at 5PM.


Holocaust survivor Philip Riteman died in his sleep at his home in Halifax Wednesday morning. Riteman survived the concentration camps and spoke about what he endured with thousands of students, reporters and community groups for more than 20 years. He was 96.
