2 brothers were arrested during an incident Friday that closed the Canada-U.S. border between Woodstock, N.B. & Houlton, Maine. 22 year old Damien Roy and 21 year old Bailey Roy of Halifax remain in custody, one in Canada and one in the U.S. Police aren’t saying what charges will be laid if any.


The city is taking a closer look at a proposed 24,000 seat stadium to be built in Halifax for the CFL. City council has voted unanimously for staff to conduct a thorough review of the business case. Some councillors are uneasy about the financial burden, what it means for the neighborhood and the environmental implications.


Supply problems are continuing at some NSLC cannabis stores. The supply of cannabis was so low this week at the Sydney River NSLC that it closed 4 hours early Monday. When the store finally reopened at 3PM yesterday there was a lineup of almost 100 people for the remainder of the day.
