Two 19 year old women were in court yesterday to face multiple charges connected with a vicious attack on a 17 year old girl in Yarmouth. The women are 2 of 5 suspects charged in the attack that happened Friday night after the victim was beaten and tortured. The other suspects include another 19 year old, a 17 year old and a 64 year old woman.

Another Halifax taxi driver has been charged with sexual assault. 74 year old Seyed Bozor appeared in court yesterday. His charge is related to an incident in September of last year when he drove 2 female passengers to a residence and assaulted one of them in the vehicle.

Minimum wage in Nova Scotia is going up to $11.55 on April 1st and will go up by another 55 cents each of the next two years. It is currently $11 an hour. Minimum wage will rise again in April 2020 to about $12.10 and $12.65 in April 2021.
