Monday July 16th 2018 

A 57 year old man from Clarks Harbour has died after his car hit a tree Saturday night on Highway 103 near Yarmouth. RCMP responded to the scene around 10:30. A female passenger was taken to hospital and is expected to survive.


Queensland Beach is closed to swimmers until further notice due to high bacteria levels. Parks Nova Scotia put out the advisory on Friday. Officials say that an increased level of bacteria found in mammal fecal matter was found.


If you’ve received a text message claiming to be from Nova Scotia Power offering a refund, don’t respond or click any links. It’s a scam designed to trick people into releasing personal information like account numbers & names. Nova Scotia Power has received over 5 reports about the scam so far.
