The body of a 44 year old man who was found near the MacKay Bridge on Monday is being investigated as a workplace accident. A stop-work order has been issued for a job site on Africville Road. The department of labour has not confirmed what the man was doing at the time.


The spiritual leader of an international Buddhist organization based in Halifax is stepping back from his duties amid sexual misconduct allegations. Sakyong Rinpoche says he fully supports a 3rd party investigation. Shambhala is one of the largest western Buddhist movements with more than 200 meditation centres around the world.
