RCMP divers have recovered the body of a 28 year old man who went missing in Chocolate Lake Sunday. The man who drowned was visiting Halifax from Toronto. No name has been released.

Dalhousie University will reopen its Chemistry & MacDonald buildings this morning after both were shut down yesterday following a chemical spill. 5 different chemicals were spilled while being moved from one room to another. One person was injured and was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Two hard frosts in June have wiped out an estimated 70% of Nova Scotia’s wild blueberry crop. The frost also damaged the new sprouts which will affect next year’s crops. Blueberry farmers are seeking financial assistance to cover the cost of production, which can be up to $3600 per hectare.
