Police were called to Chocolate Lake in Halifax last night to look for a missing swimmer in the water. Witnesses say it was a man in his 20s, who was last seen around 6:30 using a large inflatable pool toy. Officials are still searching for him this morning.

A water main break that turned Halifax’s Pizza Corner into a water park for the weekend has been fixed. Crews worked for more than 24 hours to fix the break. Halifax Water says the pipe had a chunk missing from it, but it’s not clear what caused that.

Several Canada Post mailboxes in Hammonds Plains, Lower Sackville and Fall River were broken into overnight Friday & Saturday. Police say mail was stolen from up to 5 community mailboxes. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
