A Halifax police officer has been charged with sexually assaulting a fellow police employee in 2016. Constable Pierre-Paul Cadieux was arrested yesterday but has since been released with conditions. Cadieux was not a police employee at the time of the incident, but was training to become an officer with the force.


A 7 year old boy in Antigonish has received the largest personal injury settlement in Nova Scotia legal history. The Health Authority will pay a total of $6 million to Cullan Chisholm due to severe brain injuries he suffered during his delivery. His mother Monique says the money will help build a normal family home for Cullan.


The ‘Queens County Advance’ newspaper will be published for the last time ever today. SaltWire Network announced in May it would merge the paper with the South Shore Breaker. The community newspaper based in Liverpool was a dedicated publisher of local history for 140 years.
