U.S. border patrol officers have charged 3 Canadians with unlawful entry after they were seen walking in Maine. Aaron Cumberland is facing child exploitation charges in Nova Scotia. Back in November when RCMP were searching for Cumberland they believed he might have been headed to the U.S. but he turned himself in.

The NSGEU wants the province to pause on supervision models after an attack on 2 guards at the Central Nova Scotia Correctional Centre. The attack happened on May 31st at the Burnside jail causing one of the officers to be taken to hospital. Concerns for the employees’ safety is prompting the union to review the jail’s superintendent & the facility.

A Sheet Harbour doctor is free once again to practise medicine but faces restrictions. On Monday, the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Nova Scotia announced it reached a settlement with Dr. Bradley Atkinson. Atkinson was suspended from practising medicine in 2016 after a woman complained about his care of her grandmothers visit at the Eastern Shore Memorial Hospital.
