A man is facing multiple charges connected to a sexual assault last Friday in Halifax. 47 year old Sem Obed was released from prison 4 years ago and was deemed as a high risk to reoffend. Halifax Regional Police Constable Carol McIsaac says police warned people then but are limited in what they can do.

A mechanic who was the victim of workplace harassment & racism at a Metro Transit bus garage is seeking $1 million in psychological damage. A hearing took place yesterday at the Nova Scotia Securities Commission to discuss the awarding of damages. A final decision will be released sometime this summer.
It took several fire departments to extinguish a fire at the East Hants Waste Management Centre. The fire started early Sunday at a waste and recycling transfer station in Georgefield, near Upper Kennetcook. No one was injured.
