A Police officer is recovering in hospital after he was stabbed early yesterday morning when he approached 2 teens about a stolen truck near the Ashburn golf course. Police identified the injured officer as Constable Andrew Gordon. A boy & girl, both 15 years of age have been arrested & charges are anticipated.


Nova Scotia’s premier is refusing to apologize for comments he made about the 19 year old at the centre of the government’s privacy breach. Opposition leaders are calling on Stephen McNeil to say sorry for referring to the data breach as “stealing.” His comments were made last month after 7000 files had been downloaded from its freedom-of-information portal.


Almost 200 people will be hired for the upcoming school year in Nova Scotia as part of a $15 million effort for classroom support. Education Minister Zach Churchill says teachers can’t do it alone.  The school professionals that will be hired include child youth care practitioners, education assistants, specialist teachers & psychologists.
