Rain beginning this morning, up to 30mm, wind gusting up to 70km an hour & 13
2 people were killed & 2 others were injured in a crash on Highway 103 outbound near Exit 5 yesterday afternoon. The single vehicle crash was reported around 4:30. According to RCMP 1 of the 2 people who were injured have life threatening injuries.
Several items, including 3 firearms, were taken during a recent break & enter. The incident happened on Thornhill Drive in Spryfield sometime between Wednesday & Friday of last week. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
Firefighters in the Cape Breton are facing their busiest grass fire season yet. On Monday there was 50 reported fires, then 98 more on Tuesday. Needless to say, Deputy fire chief Chris March is looking forward to the rain today.
