A teenager has been charged with assault causing bodily harm after a fight at a high school in Bedford. Police have charged a 17 year old boy after an altercation at C.P. Allen High School yesterday. He’s scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

A Halifax yoga teacher told her friends that she wanted to break up with the man who is now accused of murdering her. Nicholas Butcher is on trial for second degree murder in the 2016 death of his girlfriend, Kristin Johnston. One of her friends testified that Johnston was exhausted after closing her failing yoga business, was unhappy in her relationship with Butcher and just wanted to relax.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has expressed his optimism at the progress being made in negotiations for a new NAFTA agreement. Trudeau says the U.S., Mexico and Canada are all moving forward in a significant way. Donald Trump has also voiced confidence in the direction the trade is going.
