Police are investigating the death of a Lebanese student at Saint Mary’s University. Police believe that that death of 23 year old Hasan Kheireddine on February 23rd is linked to an incident that happened on campus on February 13th. Anyone with information is asked contact police.

RCMP were forced to shut down part of Highway 102 inbound yesterday afternoon between Exit 8 & 9 after a single vehicle crash. 3 people were injured in the crash but no word on how seriously they were hurt. Traffic had to be rerouted through Elmsdale from 2PM-8PM.

Nova Scotia has launched a program to help pay for high deductibles & co-payments for cancer patients who take medication for their illness outside of hospital. Staff at the QEII say the program will take a great deal of strain off patients. Patients will now limited to paying up to 4% of their family’s net income for medications.
