Nova Scotia’s PC’s have announced that the provincial party’s next leader will be decided at a convention in October. Details about the race were announced yesterday at the party’s annual general meeting in Halifax. A total of 5 candidates are competing for the top spot in Nova Scotia’s PC Party.


A woman who was badly injured at the Mumford Road bus terminal on Friday afternoon had just stepped out of the truck that hit her. The woman, who’s in her 50s, attempted to cross the road where buses arrive when she was hit. She was taken to hospital with serious injuries.


The federal government is starting a new pilot program that will allow you to cross borders faster if you create a digital profile filled with your personal information on your cellphone. The ‘Known Traveller Digital Identity’ is a joint venture between the governments of Canada and the Netherlands. The plan is to have it available worldwide by 2020.
