Police are investigating after 2 different Dartmouth businesses were robbed at knife point early Saturday. The first robbery happened around 12:30 on Portland Street at the Boston Pizza. Shortly after that there was a robbery at the Needs Convenience on Prince Albert Road.  Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

An 89 year old man has died after being hit by a truck while he was in a marked crosswalk in Stewiacke. The man was crossing Main Street alone around 6PM when he was hit. His name has not been released.

A ground breaking human rights case set to begin today that could help hundreds of Nova Scotians with disabilities move out of institutions and into small group homes. If the case is successful it may open the door to others who want to make the shift to supported housing. The province says as of last week there were over 500 people waiting for some form of support from the Department of Community Services.
