A 39 year old Pictou County woman has been charged with public mischief. The woman claimed she was abducted by an unknown man Saturday night in a parking lot in New Glasgow and then assaulted in Blue Mountain. Investigators have concluded that the abduction and assault never took place.

Police are looking for the public’s help identifying snow blower thieves. The 2 men pulled up to a business on Sackville Drive on December 2nd in a Dodge Caravan, put 2 snow blowers in the back & drove off. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

A Nova Scotia woman is facing charges for stealing more than $25,000 while working at a nursing home. 47 year old Emily MacEachern has been charged regarding incidents that took place at Valleyview Villa Nursing Home in Pictou County. MacEachern is scheduled for court in March.
