Jamie Baillie has been forced out as leader of Nova Scotia’s PC Party following allegations of inappropriate behaviour. The investigation has concluded that Baillie had breached the Provincial House of Assembly policy in the workplace. The party requested & accepted Baillie’s resignation yesterday morning.


An inquiry will look into a bizarre mix-up at a funeral home in the Valley. Relatives of Sandra Bennett arrived at the funeral home on December 27th but found the body of another woman dressed in Bennett’s clothing. A hearing will take place in Halifax on February 7th to determine what happened at the Serenity Funeral Home in Berwick.


Halifax Transit presented its 2018 & 19 budget at Halifax City Hall yesterday. The changes would include new ferries & terminals, transit priority measures and route changes. If approved, these changes could be implemented by the end of the year.
