5 cm of snow this morning changing to flurries this afternoon. Windy. High -5.


4 people including at least 2 children have died after an early morning fire at a home in Pubnico Head. It took 50 volunteer firefighters 2 hours to battle the flames but the home was completely destroyed. No word yet on the cause of the fire.

Loblaws is recalling bottles of PC brand Sweet Chipotle Prepared Mustard due to the possible presence of glass. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says the recall is nationwide. So far no injuries have been reported.

Justin Trudeau is on his way to Nova Scotia. The prime minister will hold a public town hall meeting at Sackville High School in Lower Sackville tomorrow night. Sackville-Preston-Chezzetcook MP Darrell Samson says that the prime minister wants to hear from the public on issues that matter as the new year begins.
