2 adult brothers in New Glasgow are now homeless after their 2 story house burned down yesterday afternoon. Police say the fire does not appear to be suspicious. And thankfully no one was inside at the time of the fire.

RCMP are investigating a lobster pound fire on Christmas Day in Digby County. The lobster pound was owned by local band councillor Alex McDonald. In October McDonald’s lobster boat was set it on fire in St. Mary’s Bay, by someone who targeted him because he is Aboriginal.

An animal shelter in Amherst was broken into overnight on Tuesday. About $2000 worth of cheques, cash and gift cards were stolen. However no animals were taken or injured at the Lillian Allbon Animal Shelter.
