A 52 year old man from Dartmouth is facing charges after setting a fire in a grocery store in Halifax last month. The fire broke out in an aisle of the Superstore on Joseph Howe Drive. No one was injured but smoke damage caused the business to close overnight.

The company that operates the ferry service between Nova Scotia & Maine is re-examining some familiar territory. Bay Ferries has made inquiries to town council in Bar Harbor, Maine, about potential use of its ferry terminal. The Company president says he would consider what is best for the business & what can be done at the lowest possible cost.

A Halifax Councillor is inquiring as to why there wasn’t much work being done on the weekend on St. Margarets Bay Road. Residents reported that no one was on the job on the weekend, however the city says crews were out Saturday doing some work. Crews are supposed to be working 7 days a week when it was announced that the project would not be completed until the end of this month.
