A 38 year old Yarmouth County man is in hospital with life threatening injuries after he was shot on Saturday. A 32 year old man from Yarmouth County was arrested at the scene and remains in police custody. He’s been charged with attempted murder and is scheduled for court.

Two boys, ages 6 & 8, were taken to the IWK on Friday with non-life threatening injuries after they were bitten by a dog in Economy. The children were visiting a home on Highway 2 when the owner’s Doberman attacked them. The dog has been turned over to the Colchester County Animal Control.

At least 26 people are dead and 20 more are injured after a shooting at a church in Sutherland Springs, Texas yesterday. The suspected shooter has been identified as 26 year old Devin Kelley. A local resident used their own rifle to engage Kelley and he was later found dead of a gunshot wound inside his vehicle.
