A 17 year old who can’t be named that’s accused of second-degree murder in the death of Daniel Handrahan has elected a trial by judge & jury. RCMP were called to a disturbance at a home in Stewiacke on August 18th where they found Handrahan with life-threatening injuries. He was rushed to hospital where he later died.

5 businesses are severely damaged after an overnight fire in downtown Bridgewater. Firefighters were called around 10:30 Sunday night to the fire on King Street. No word yet on the cause and no one was injured.

2 men are wanted for stealing thousands of dollars of Canadian Tire merchandise in Lower Sackville. The men stole items like chainsaws, kitchen mixers, trolling Motors & more before driving off in their black dodge caravan. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
