RCMP are investigating after a cross border highway chase ended in 2 men being arrested Tuesday night. Nova Scotia RCMP told the New Brunswick RCMP to deploy a spike belt to stop the men who were fleeing an attempted armed robbery and home invasion in Springhill. A 42 year old and a 36 year old were both arrested.


The number of Nova Scotians on the wait list for a family doctor has dropped. According to the Nova Scotia Health Authority, between November 1st & December 1st the number of people on the list dropped by 5.8%. The biggest drop was in the central zone, which covers HRM, Eastern Shore and West Hants.


Hundreds of people will gather in Halifax this morning to mark the anniversary of one of Canada’s worst human made disasters. It was 101 years ago today that 2 wartime ships collided in our harbour, sparking a blast that destroyed the city and killed almost 2000 people. A service at Fort Needham Memorial Park in the city’s north end will include a moment of silence at 9:04AM.
