A 50 year old man from Lunenburg County has died after he collided his vehicle with a truck Sunday night in Hebbs Cross near Bridgewater. Part of Highway 103 had to be shut down until about 9:30 yesterday morning. His name has not yet been released.

A married couple from Yarmouth are home safe in Nova Scotia after attending the Route 91 Country Music Concert in Las Vegas. Shelly Adams and Adam Blooi were among the thousands of people at the deadly mass shooting Sunday night. 59 people were killed, including two Canadians, and more than 500 others were injured, making it the largest mass shooting in the history of the United States.

The IWK Health Centre says it will pursue a legal claim against former CEO Tracy Kitch. The bid is to recover approximately $10,000 in outstanding personal expenses charged to the Halifax children’s hospital. Kitch stepped down just one week before an independent audit found out she expensed $47,000 in personal charges to the IWK.
