A 53 year old Dartmouth man has pleaded guilty after hitting a woman with his car in May 2017. Gerald Desmond was already facing a whole list of charges, including attempted murder. Police say Desmond knew the woman and had been arguing with her before hitting her with his car.

A new $13 million performing arts centre could be up and running in downtown Halifax by 2020. The Link Performing Arts Society will lease space in the former convention centre on Argyle Street.
