There was a robbery at a convenience store in Halifax yesterday afternoon. It happened around 4:00 when a man entered the store on Longard Place.  The male suspect threatened the clerk, claiming he had a gun in his pocket, before he ran off with some cash. No injuries and anyone with information is asked to contact police.


A small fire broke out on one of the planes flown by the Snowbirds aerobatic team as it landed in the Valley on Saturday. The 9 plane team was taking part in the Atlantic Canada International Air Show at CFB Greenwood. No injuries were reported.


A Bible Hill man has been arrested after a hit and run incident in Truro early last Friday morning. Around 1:00 one vehicle bumped into another from behind on Robie Street. When the driver of the vehicle that was hit got out, the other vehicle drove forward, hit the driver and briefly dragged him. A 26 year old man who’s name has not yet been released is facing charges.
