The IWK Health Centre CEO who used a corporate credit card for thousands of dollars in personal expenses is no longer with the organization. Tracy Kitch used her credit card for purchases at the Bay, on limo services and iTunes, which IWK officials say was an error. Current chair of the IWK board of directors, Karen Hutt says that Tracy would be leaving to pursue other opportunities.

A Halifax cab driver has been convicted of sexually assaulting a female passenger. 29 year old Saher Hamdan sexually assaulted a young woman as she waited to pay her fare in July 2016. Hamdan was convicted yesterday in Halifax provincial court and will be sentenced in October.

Halifax’s now former chief planner says he had no plans to leave the municipality. Bob Bjerke, who was also the director of planning and development, is no longer an HRM employee as of Tuesday afternoon. Bjerke says he’s pleased with the work he’s done but feels it wasn’t finished.
