200 kg of hash was discovered hidden in chocolate bars at Port of Halifax yesterday. The hash-infused bars originated in the Netherlands and were destined for Ontario. A 51 year old man from Mississauga has been found and charged.

There’s been more Yarmouth ferry crossings cancelled due to engine troubles. A news release issued by Bay Ferries says they’re working to repair a defect in one of the 20 cylinders in the ship’s main engine. The company aims to have the ferry back in service for tonight.

The Dalhousie University Student Union is re-opening a support centre for survivors of sexual violence. The helpline service was suspended last fall due to lack of funding. The centre will operate the confidential phone line 24 hours a day 7 days a week starting in September.
