Five teenagers have been arrested after a theft and a swarming & stabbing incident last week in Dartmouth. On June 18th a 40 year old man was walking near Thistle Street and Wyse Road when he was swarmed by several teens, robbed and stabbed. The next day a 16 year old boy was caught smashing a car window with a hammer on Mill Lane to get a purse he could see in the car. Three boys aged 14, 16 & 17, and two girls aged 15 & 17 have all been arrested and are facing charges.

A roof collapsed at a Nova Scotia liquor store yesterday. Police got a call just after 3:00PM to the NSLC on Front Street in Wolfville. No details have been released as to why the roof collapsed but thankfully no one was injured.

The city is looking for a consultant to review the taxi industry within HRM. Regional council voted in favour of the review earlier this year and a request for proposals is now looking to conduct an in-depth industry review. The review will look at passenger and driver safety measures like GPS tracking, car shields, passenger trip logs and emergency alarm buttons.
