A man was shot in Halifax last night. Police responded to reports of shots fired near Duffus and Barrington Street around 7:30PM. An injured man was found and taken to hospital. No other details have been released.

Sears Canada has announced that 3 locations in Nova Scotia are among the almost 60 stores that will close nation wide. 2900 jobs are expected to be lost as Sears undergoes a restructuring plan under court protection from creditors. Sears in Penhorn Mall, in Truro, and the Sears outlet in Halifax are scheduled for closure.

Police are investigating after a woman waiting for a bus on Sackville Drive on Wednesday afternoon was touched innappropriately. A man pulled up beside her in a car to ask for directions before asking her to get into the car. When the woman said no he grabbed her arm forcefully. She was able to break free and run off.
