Emergency crews were called to a Dartmouth lake yesterday after reports that a swimmer failed to resurface after going underwater. Boats were used to search Penhorn Lake until 9:30 but the swimmer was not located. The search is expected to resume this morning.

Family members of William Sandeson are blaming the Crown for keeping them away from his first-degree murder trial. The Prosecutor says it was decided early on that Sandeson’s family would not need to testify. Sandeson is accused in the death of Taylor Samson, whose body has never been found.

No one was injured after shots were fired in North Preston yesterday morning. A 22 year old North Preston man was driving a car that was shot at around 5AM on Cain Street. The man who fired the shots from another car sped off in a Saturn Ion, which has since been found, but no arrests yet.
