Yesterday at William Sandeson’s murder trial a witness told the jury about a violent home invasion that occurred a few days before Taylor Samson went missing. Jordon MacEwan says during the home invasion he was tackled while running for his front door and knocked down his steps where he landed naked, bleeding and screaming for help. He also admitted he borrowed $15,000 from Sandeson in 2014 to order marijuana and says he never felt pressure to repay the loan back immediately.

A Halifax police officer was punched in the face during an incident outside the Gottigen Street police station on Sunday. A man was found lying outside the police station in the grass asking for medical attention before he punched the officer. 24 year old Daniel Ryan was arrested and is due for court.

An ultralight plane crashed into a forested area on the south shore yesterday. The plane went into some trees moments after taking off from the local airport in Greenfield around noon. The pilot was not injured and no other details have been released.
