Police are looking for 2 people after a stabbing in Dartmouth. Officers found an 18 year old man with a stab wound on his arm on Jackson Road around 11:00AM yesterday. The man told police he was just walking when two male suspects tried to rob him. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.


Liberal Leader Stephen McNeil is promising to spend $25 million so that┬ácaregivers for people with mental illness can qualify for funding under the province’s unpaid caregiver program. Currently the $400 a month unpaid caregiver benefit is only available to those caring for loved ones who have very high care needs. McNeil says with the budget he will include an additional 1600 caregivers to receive more funding, which is double the number of who qualifies now.


It’ll be late June before the MacDonald Bridge bike lane and sidewalk reopen. The original plan was to open the lanes by the end of March but there is still some more work to be done. However the shuttle service will remain in place until the sidewalk and bike lane reopen.
