Five out of six young men accused of sharing intimate images of twenty local high school girls on the South Shore have pleaded guilty. Distribution of intimate images without consent is a relatively new law that’s designed to combat illegal sharing of images. For now, the boys have agreed to attend educational training that’s similar to restorative justice.


A 54 year old man from Upper Tantallon has been identified as the person killed on highway 103 on Tuesday night. He was hit by another vehicle after he got out of his truck to check the cargo in the back close to exit 4 just after 5:00PM. No word yet if any charges will be laid against the driver of the car that hit the man.


Finance Minister Bill Morneau has tabled his second federal budget. Some of the highlights from the 2017 federal budget include: 7 billion dollars over 10 years for child care, 11.2 billion dollars over 11 years will go to a national housing strategy, 1 cent more on a bottle of wine & 5 cents more on a 24 case of beer.
