Monday March 20th 2017 

Police are investigating multiple incidents that took place within HRM over the weekend and are wondering if they are connected. Around 5:30PM Saturday officers responded to Alderney Drive for an arson call. At 9:00PM police responded to a robbery, also on Alderney Drive. Around 9:30PM police went to the MacDonald bridge for a bomb threat. Lastly, close to 1:00AM Sunday police responded to Ogilvie Street for a robbery. No arrests have been made yet.

RCMP have arrested an 18 year old man who fled from police at a traffic checkpoint and briefly dragged an officer last month. Police arrested the Pictou County man without incident on Friday night. The police officer who was dragged suffered minor injuries.

Halifax police took part in a church service in Halifax yesterday marking a day to end racial discrimination. Halifax Regional Police Chief Jean-Michel Blais and some of his officers sang with a church choir at their annual service. Police wanted to take part in light of the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination which is tomorrow.
